Fat Reduction | Skin Tightening | Body Sculpting
Cavitation is advanced aesthetic equipment for breaking up adipose tissue. It represents an excellent add-on for the treatment of our stubborn fat deposits that never seems to disappear no matter how well you eat or how hard you work out. Those problematic body areas are: abdomen, blanks (love handles), thighs (saddle bags), buttocks, inner knees, upper arm and male breasts.
The ultrasound field creates bubbles in the liquid, which gradually grow and implode at certain sizes. The energy in the form of heat (minor effect) and pressure wave (major effect) is released. As the membranes of fat cells do not have the structural capacity to withstand the vibrations, the effect of cavitation easily breaks them, while sparing the vascular, nervous and muscular tissues. The result is instant inch loss.
Low frequency ultrasonic waves are used to produces lipolysis (liquefaction) of fat cell breaking down fibrosis and finally your body can now be contoured with no anaesthesia, no scars and no downtime.
The procedure is painless and performed on small-localised areas of the body. The contraindications for using ultrasonic cavitation for the treatment of localised fat can be absolute or relative.
RF (radio frequency)
RF is used throughout the cavitation, skin tightening & body contouring treatments. RF is an advanced technology that safely heats the collagen in the skin (dermis and subcutaneous tissues), causing skin tightening and skin firming.
If sufficient energy is delivered, the collagen will contract, providing an immediate change in skin appearance. The treatment also triggers a second process of new collagen production, leading to a significant change in skin appearance. A result of collagen remodelling is tighter, younger looking skin.
What should you expect during the treatment?
During the procedure, deep skin layers are gradually heated, while the skin surface remains around 40deg (hot shower temperature). Your skin temperature will be constantly monitored.
Benefits of RF Treatment
• Reduces cellulite
• Reduction of body fats
• Tightening of the skin
• Post-operative liposuction smoothing
• Contour reshaping
What happens to the released fat?
After disruption of adipose cells, the broken fat in the form of triglycerides is released into the interstitial fluid between the cells, where they are enzymatically metabolized to glycerol and free fatty acids. Water soluble glycerol is absorbed by the circulatory system and used as the energy source, whereas the insoluble free fatty acids are transported to the liver and processed as fatty acids from food, and finally, some content of adipocytes is metabolized by the liver and eliminated in the urine. It is imperative you drink a minimum of 2 litres of water both the day of treatment and subsequent days.
What will I feel during the treatment?
Most clients consider the procedure painless and comfortable. There may be however, a slight discomfort due to the specific noise spreading inside your body, but it poses no harm and disappears as soon as you are not in the contact with the applicator. You may also experience a little warmth during the treatment. If it turns really hot, immediately request some extra ultrasound gel to be applied.
Can I expect any side effects?
There is a slight possibility of mild side effects such as transient redness, excessive thirst and nausea immediately after the treatment which always resolves by drinking water.
They are all short term effects that disappear in few hours to few days. Even though the studies have proven the treatment safe, the cavitation is not to be used in clients with an acute illness, comprised liver function, severe bleeding tendencies, pace makers or during pregnancy.
What results can I expect?
The cavitation treatment yields immediate and long lasting results. Most clients experience 2-3cm of circumference reduction after one single session, with increasing results after each visit. The results may vary with different tissue structure, treatment area, age, metabolism, medications and changes in hormones. Proper diet and increased physical activity will certainly improve and help to maintain results.
* if taking slimming medicines, please stop and wait two weeks before having a treatment.
Recommendations
Avoid foods that are high in protein, high in fat, high energy. Please eat foods with light, not greasy or strongly flavoured. Do not have treatment during digestion thus treatment should be done one hour after eating.
In which areas is the Ultrasonic Cavitation more effective?
All the parts of the body where localised adiposity is; therefore legs, abdomen and buttocks are the most appropriate but there’s no real limitation regarding body areas.
What are the contraindications?
People who have the following health concerns should avoid treatments; cardiac or vascular problems, immune system disease, pacemaker carriers, pregnant or breastfeeding. If you’re unsure, please consult your doctor before having any treatments.
Are the results similar to liposuction?
Yes, fat is removed and won’t appear again in the treated areas, without harming the vascular system and without postoperative care. However a healthy lifestyle must be adapted.
How is it possible to remove solid fat through urine?
The ultrasonic cavitation emulsifies fat and converts it into a liquid substance, easy to remove through the lymphatic and urinary systems.
Is any previous or subsequent treatment needed?
A low calorie diet is suggested and it’s mandatory to drink atleast 2 litres of water before and after sessions. Drinking water is essential to eliminate broken up fat.
How many sessions of ultrasonic cavitation are needed?
We suggest between 6 -12 sessions for best results and two times per week for 4 or 5 weeks.
